Visiting Hours & Guidelines
Visitors are expected to comply with Bridgeport Hospital’s visitation policy. Passes are issued at hospital entrances to everyone visiting inpatient units.
- General visiting hours: 10 am - 8 pm
- Specialty units: Visitors are welcome but guidelines may vary; please ask a staff member for details.
- Visitation restrictions are sometimes put in place for the safety of patient, staff and visitors (i.e. flu season, pandemic).
- Patients and visitors are expected to abide by the Statewide Code of Conduct Policy supporting a safe, supportive and equitable healing environment.
Masking: To prioritize safety, our masking policy is updated regularly based on community health trends. Before your appointment or visit, please review our masking guidelines for the latest requirements.
Important notice about visiting: Please do not visit if you have any symptoms of an infection, such as fever, rash, sneezing, sore throat, new or worsening cough, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Any visitor exposed to chicken pox, tuberculosis, measles, mumps or any other infectious disease within the past three weeks should speak to the nurse before visiting.
