Patient care technicians may partake in a residency program to bolster professional development. The department also provides continuous education and mentorship through skills days, patient scenario simulations, journal clubs and professional development support. Educators assist with clinical skills, SPIRE and patient care technician clinical ladder applications and evidence-based practice projects.
