Bridgeport Hospital is a Yale-affiliated community teaching hospital. As a resident in training at Bridgeport Hospital in any of the seven residencies or as a fellow in one of the five fellowship programs, you receive preparation for a lifetime of learning.

The library maintains a collection of over 2,700 electronic journals and 1,700 electronic books and provides access to 25 respected online resources for medical and nursing research and publishing.

The Bridgeport Hospital Institutional Review Board (IRB) is charged with protecting the rights, safety, and well-being of human subjects involved in research, by reviewing all research conducted at Bridgeport Hospital and its subsidiaries.

Bridgeport Hospital CME aims to help physicians meet their continuing medical education needs through promoting lifelong learning and supporting efforts to enhance competence and physician preformation.

Y Access Transfer CenterY Access Transfer Center offers a streamlined patient transfer service that ensures efficient admission to a Yale New Haven Health hospital. With one call to 888-YNHH-BED, referring physicians can arrange an immediate acceptance for transfer.

SkyHealthSkyHealth is a joint venture between Yale New Haven Health and Northwell Health and includes two aircraft, with one stationed in Connecticut. Air transportation is provided in partnership with Med-Trans Corporation. Call Y Access Transfer Center at 888-YNHH-BED to activate SkyHealth.

At Bridgeport Hospital, more than 1,300 nurses care for patients across two inpatient campuses and multiple outpatient locations.

Our CPE program is geared toward those interested in advanced education who have completed undergraduate degrees and have some theological education.

The Bridgeport Hospital Paramedic Program works with the Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) Center for EMS and the Echo Hose Ambulance Training Center to provide professional training in the greater Bridgeport area.
