Community Benefits Report

Every year, as part of our vital mission to promote health and wellness throughout the Greater Bridgeport region, Bridgeport Hospital (BH), sponsors, develops and participates in a wide variety of community-based programs and services. During 2018, BH managed $63.1 million in financial aid in-kind contributions through five wide-ranging programs: Guaranteeing Access to Care; Advancing Careers in Health Care; Promoting Health & Wellness; Building Stronger Neighborhoods; and Creating Healthier Communities.

Community Health Needs Assessment

Bridgeport Hospital, as part of the Health Improvement Alliance, recently completed its 2019 community health needs assessment process. This included the development of a comprehensive Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) to address the major unmet needs in the region.
