This program provides individuals with education in Sterile Processing using the guidelines established by the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution. The course is comprised of both clinical and classroom education, for a total of ten days over a 3-5 week period. Upon completion of the program, the student receives a Certificate of completion providing eligibility to sit for the Sterile Processing Technician certification examination.

Sterile Processing Application

Only complete applications will be reviewed for admission. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the Admissions Office has received all required application materials. We will confirm receipt of your application. You may obtain an application and reference forms at the School of Nursing or by downloading them from here: Application Form  /  Reference Form.

Your application packet should include:
  • Completed application form
  • Official (sealed) high school transcript or equivalent.
  • Proof of United States Citizenship or Current Permanent Resident Card
  • 2 Professional References
  • Short Essay (up to 150 words) on why you would like to be in the program
  • $50.00 non-refundable application fee

Applicants must provide an official high school graduation transcript or an official high school equivalency certificate (G.E.D). Records from secondary schools outside the United States must be accompanied by an original document of U.S. equivalency from an approved translating agency. Verification of dates and discharge status are required of applicants who have served in the military.

The Admissions Committee selects applicants for admission after thoroughly reviewing the applicant's file. The Faculty and Administration of the School reserve the right to refuse admission to an applicant if it is felt to be in the best interest of the School or the applicant.

Entry and acceptance into this program does not guarantee licensure or certification, nor does it guarantee employment. There may also be barriers to employment in the field such as certain criminal convictions, or a positive drug test.

Students selected for admission must send a non-refundable tuition deposit of $150.00 within one week of the postmarked acceptance letter. This fee will be applied towards the tuition and will reserve your place in the class. Tuition balance is due prior to the start of class.

Tuition may be paid by major credit card, cash, money order or certified check.
