The Department of Surgery at Bridgeport Hospital includes 12 specialty sections. More than 14,000 surgeries are performed each year in our 20 operating rooms 12 Main Operating Rooms and 8 SurgEase (Same-Day) Operating Rooms.

In addition to 12 surgical sections, services at Bridgeport Hospital include:

• SurgEase same-day/ambulatory surgery center
• The Dr. Andrew J. and Henrietta Panettieri Burn Center the only Burn Center in Connecticut
• The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, caring for patients with chronic wounds
