Better Breathing Club
Educational and emotional support group for people with chronic respiratory problems. Meetings are held the last Friday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the hospital’s duPont Board Room. Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program
An eight-week pulmonary rehabilitation program for people with lung conditions. The program meets twice a week. It emphasizes breathing re-training, physical re-conditioning, pacing, and how to manage daily activities without becoming exhausted. Pulse-oximetry readings and blood pressures are taken throughout each session. A referral from your physician is required. For more information, please call Gretchen May-Fendo, 203-336-7375

Advanced Lung Disease Services and Pulmonary Second Opinion Options for patients with advanced lung disease, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension, have improved over the last several years. The pulmonologists at Bridgeport Hospital have expertise in the evaluation and care of patients with these lung disorders as well as many others. They see patients with all lung diseases and offer the latest diagnostic evaluations and counseling on the full range of options for treatment, including referrals for lung transplantation.

Quit Smart Stop Smoking Class
