The Norma F. Pfriem Cancer Institute at Bridgeport Hospital

The Norma F. Pfriem Cancer Institute at Bridgeport Hospital is an American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer approved Teaching Hospital Cancer Program delivering care to more than 1,100 newly diagnosed cancer patients each year more than any other hospital in Fairfield County.

The Norma F. Pfriem Cancer Institute organizes its care delivery system around tumor-specific Centers of Excellence in the tradition of its prestigious Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center. Hallmarks of these care centers are multidisciplinary case review and treatment planning, patient/family navigators, standards-driven care and access to clinical trials which afford opportunities to access the latest therapies long before they become available to the general public.

Being launched this year are Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, Gynecological and Thoracic Centers as well as specialty skin and blood cancer programs.

The Norma F. Pfriem Cancer Institute at Bridgeport Hospital is proud to offer an array of diagnostic, treatment and support services and to serve as a leader in cancer education for professionals and the public.
